Celebrating womanhood!!

Good evening Crafters!!

This is going to be a quick post. I have made this project to celebrate the women power.

Without further ado, here is my quilled piece..

For this I have quilled a woman silhoutte using honeycomb technique. Then added some quilled flowers on the sides using silver quilling strips.

Mixed Media Masculine Card!

Good afternoon crafters!!

Today I am gonna share a mixed media masculine card that I designed for the GDT post at ICR Coaster Rides. The current challenge is "ATG + Make it Masculine". There is still time to participate. So click here and check it out.

To make this Card:
  • I took a thick cardstock and colored it teal with watercolors. Next stamped Mudra Script Stamp randomly and applied some home made texture paste through Craftyscrappers Mini Bubble Stencil. Distressed the edges.

  • Next I made the frame from packaging cardboard and added some texture paste randomly through the same stencil. Added 4 flat based thermocols on the corners and colored the whole thing black. Finally colored it with rustic metallic paint.

  • Next drew a boat free-hand, colored it in green and brown shades and fuzzy cut it. Next took a vellum strip and stmped "Memories" from We R Memory Keepers Stamp set.

  • Finally added all the elements along with some cheese clothe to the card. For more musculine touch I have added 4 metallic rings with same color combo to the card.

Smooshing Technique Card!

Good Afternoon Ladies!!

I am back again to share a new card with you all that I made taking into account a few challenges.

To make this card I started with a white cardstock and stamped a circular lacy design (closest thing that I had to doodle) multiple times with white Versafine Ink. Heat embossed it with Wow clear embossing powder.

For smooshing I chose Tenacious Teal and Lilac Artistry Inks. I pressed the ink pads on an acrylic block randomly. Then sprayed some water over it from a distance till tiny droplets are formed on the block.
Then I smooshed the ink over the embossed cardstock till I was satisfied with the intensity of colors.

Wiped the excess of ink from the embossed areas using tissue wipe.
Took a butterfly die-cut, covered it with black pigment ink and heat embossed it. Marked the outline of the die cut on a vellum and cut it out. Coated the cut out with rust Metallic Paint and stuck it to the die-cut. It turned out to be really glossy.
Next stamped the sentiment from “Purrfect Pair” Stamp set from craftyscrappers on vellum. Added the cardstock to an embossed white cardstock along with a black one of same size. Finally added the whole panel to a blue card stock.
The butterfly die-cut is a RAK from Preety Dutt and the embossed panel is a RAK from Dr. Sonia Suprabha.

Here is the final card:
